This one is easy and delicious.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/annroth.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/orange-brownies.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-939\" src=\"https:\/\/annroth.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/orange-brownies-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"orange brownies\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/annroth.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/orange-brownies-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/annroth.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/orange-brownies-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/annroth.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/orange-brownies-624x832.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Glazed Orange Brownies<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>A Paula Deen recipe, with modifications (in parentheses) that cut down on the sugar and fat<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Brownies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 cups sugar <em>(I use 1)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>1\u00a01\/2 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>1 cup butter, softened <em>(I use 1 stick instead)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>4 large eggs <em>(I use 2 instead)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons orange extract<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons orange zest, divided <em>(1 for the batter and 1 for the glaze)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Glaze:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup confectioner&#8217;s sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons orange juice, fresh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<br \/>\n<\/strong>1. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Spray a 13&#215;9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. (<em>This pan is too big! I use a smaller one.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>2. In a large bowl, stir together sugar, flour, and salt. Add butter, eggs, extract, and 1 teaspoon zest, and beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.<\/p>\n<p>3. Bake for 30 minutes or until light golden brown and set. Remove from oven, and pierce cake all over with a fork.<\/p>\n<p>4. In a small bowl, combine confectioners sugar, orange juice, and remaining teaspoon zest until smooth. Pour over warm cake.
