Chai

| I don't know about you, but I love chai. My sister visited India and brought home this easy-to make recipe. Cheaper and tastier than the store-bought mix. |
makes two cups
- 3/4 cup whole or 2 percent milk
- 3/4 cup water (you can vary these amounts--such as using 1/2 cup milk and 1 cup water)
- 2 tsp black tea
- pinch (or more) of: cardamom, cinnamon, ginger
- sugar to taste (I don't like my chai super sweet, and use 1 tsp)
Combine in a saucepan. Bring to boil. Remove from heat and let steep for 4 minutes. Use a strainer and pour into cups. Best if drunk within 30 minutes.
